Welcome to the very first post and comic of Daddy’s Girls. In the last couple of years I have finished Volume 2 of Family Bones and am now finishing up my Gene Gardens graphic novel. I also have been working on restarting my webcomic life. I used to have a very successful INNOCENT webcomic going until I started working on other projects and that sort of morphed into a prose series (coming out in 2012 I hope).
I started by doing a web comic based on real life jobs of government workers, which I’m intimately familiar. It fizzled after doing a dozen or so comics. Then I spent a year working on a mystery comic strip. That was progressing but I was finding it hard to keep the excitement going for each and every strip. And I started writing a prose mystery which felt better to me, also coming out in 2012.
That leaves a few new novels in the works and some short stories, a graphic novel, but still no digital comic strip. So I asked my daughter what I should write about and she said that I should write about her bunny Alice. Inspiration!
I now have about two dozen comics for “Daddy’s Girls” in various stages of completion and many more on the way. I hope you enjoy this new series and how it progresses. Safe for kids but too smart for grown-ups, please don’t hesitate to say what you like or don’t like.
